"No, Mr. Bond. I Expect you to DIE"

A restored post about my role model, who was the original James Bond: I've steered my life in his direction and lived it, but without being shot at, or even shooting at anyone. Lots of guns, including the fully automatic kind, lots of girls including the fully sexual kind, lots of fast cars including the fully manual ones, and lots of countries including the fully foreign ones of Bond's era that were Switzerland, Britain, Japan, and I'll count Mexico and Hawaii as the Caribbean. In the same decades as the Bond books were set in thos countries.

I had just moved to London the year that "Dr. No" was released there and saw it in the local theatre despite its R rating (over 18 only ; I was barely 13) having read the book when it came out in '58 (I was 8 y/o and knew who I wanted to be when I grew up).

A young lady said to me once in Australia, "You're only as old as the women you feel," and I said (then), "I feel like I'm 28, but I scare the hell out of 28-year-old women". "I'm 28", she replied with a smile. I was in my 50s then.

Ah, those days of hot women are long gone for this erstwhile holster designer/maker who is now nearly 80 y/o. I've outlived all my peers -- one of my older brothers died earlier this year, and his wife of the same age died two years prior -- and likely all those girls, too. Does my 200hp turbocharged Honda count?

Read more about it in my book that is titled "Holstory -- Gunleather of the Twentieth Century - the Second Edition": click on the link at the top of the page to review then purchase it.
